Every year, Greg and I like to plan a camping trip around our anniversary to celebrate. Neither of us are big into gift giving, so our trip is our gift to one another! One year, we went all the way up to Bar Harbor, Maine, which needs to be on everyone’s bucket list! That year was followed by a trip throughout the Western coast of Michigan and into the Upper Peninsula. Last year we traveled throughout North Carolina, and this year we explored parts of New York! I cannot emphasize enough how camping is such a great way to see the US!
Since our camping trips take us all over the map, we use Good Sam’s Trip Planner to route out our trip! It is so helpful and easy to use! You DO need to be a Good Sam member to use it, however that is TOTALLY worth it, even just to use this trip planner (click here to score your membership)!
How to use the Trip Planner
Using Good Sam’s trip planner is as easy as plugging in your starting point, and your farthest place of travel. The tool allows you to add in destinations in between, and gives you all of your millage and alternate routes. What I love most about the planner is the ability to view Good Sam Parks along your route! My husband is the KING of research, so he loves this part of planning. We look at our route, see what our camping options are, and decide which campgrounds fit our families needs the best.
Good Sam’s trip planner has been a game changer for us. I hope you feel the same way! Check out our latest trip to Niagara Falls, NY here! Message us for questions or comments, we would love to help!
